Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
Less than 30 minutes from Québec City, Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier features landscapes remarkable for their striking contrasts: steep-sided valleys cut into mountain plains. Winding across the bottom of the most spectacular of these valleys, the 550 metre (1,804 foot) deep Jacques-Cartier Valley shelters a sometimes calm, sometimes agitated river. In the forests where yellow birch, sugar maple trees and black spruce grow, nature inspires respect and peacefulness. You may enjoy practising different outdoor activities here, such as hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking and mini-rafting or you can simply enjoy a picnic. And the great beauty of the park’s panoramic views doesn’t hibernate in the wintertime! Enjoy snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, snow hiking, sledding or off-piste skiing.
